The composition of pneumatic actuators includes actuators, cylinders, pistons, springs, gears and racks, solenoid valves, limit switches, manual operating mechanisms, positioners, etc.
G series pneumatic actuators
First is the actuator body, which is the core part of the entire pneumatic actuator. There are cylinders and pistons inside. After compressed air enters, it pushes the piston to move, and the movement of the piston drives the valve to open and close. The actuator mainly converts air pressure into mechanical action through this part.
The cylinder is the place where compressed air is contained and provides a power source. There is a piston in the cylinder. After compressed air comes in, it pushes the piston to move back and forth, thereby driving the valve stem to control the opening and closing of the valve.
The piston is a very important moving part in the actuator. After compressed air enters the cylinder, it pushes the piston to move back and forth. Some actuators use a gear rack structure, which converts the linear motion of the piston into rotational motion to control the rotary valve (such as ball valves and butterfly valves).
Some actuators also have springs, which are called single-acting pneumatic actuators. The function of the spring is to automatically push the piston back when there is no air pressure, so that the valve automatically closes or resets. It is suitable for use in places where automatic reset is required.
The solenoid valve is also a very important part. It controls the in and out of compressed air. The solenoid valve receives signals and determines when the pneumatic actuator is opened and closed.
In addition, the pneumatic actuator will also have a limit switch, which is used to detect the status of the valve. It will tell us whether the valve is open or closed, which is convenient for monitoring the working status of the system.
If the valve opening needs to be precisely adjusted, the actuator will also be equipped with a positioner, which can accurately control the valve opening, especially suitable for systems that need to adjust the flow.
In addition, there are some auxiliary components, such as air filter pressure reducing valve, whose function is to filter out impurities in compressed air, adjust the pressure of the air source, and ensure that the pneumatic actuator can work normally.
