ZH Series Double Acting Single Piston with Central Side Mounted Manual Pneumatic Actuator

The ZH series valve pneumatic actuator adopts the double-layer cylinder working principle, which operates in four stages during the operation of the gate valve:

Pre-opening stage: The pistons of the upper cylinder (referred to as the upper piston) and the lower cylinder (referred to as the lower piston) are simultaneously subjected to force. Under the push of the upper and lower pistons, the valve stem overcomes the maximum static friction force between the sealing surfaces of the gate plate and the valve body with nearly twice the lifting force of a single piston, driving the gate plate to rise. Compressed air from the lower chamber of the upper cylinder passes through a specific passage set in the partition via a connecting pipe to reach the lower chamber of the lower cylinder, pushing the upper and lower pistons to work simultaneously. The gas in the upper chamber of the lower cylinder is smoothly discharged outside the cylinder through another specific passage set in the partition.

Post-opening stage: After the gate valve is slightly opened, the lower piston reaches the upper dead point and stops moving, while the gate plate continues to rise under the drive of the upper piston until it reaches the fully open position.

Closing stage: Under the push of the upper piston, the gate plate moves away from the fully open position and begins to descend.

②Cylinder process: the cylinder is made of 20# steel seamless smooth tube, the cylinder is tempered, and the inner wall of the cylinder is ground to ensure high precision line tolerance, and then the inner wall of the cylinder is plated with 0.03mm~0.05mm hard chromium, and finally polished, so as to improve the wear resistance and rust prevention ability of the cylinder and extend the service life of the pneumatic actuator.
